Miguel Edwards is a sculptor, public artist, and photographer who built his career in Seattle before relocating to Bend, Oregon. As a result of completing Perseus II—a new Seattle landmark—he was referred by the Chihuly organization and commissioned to design and build the Cauldron for the 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics, an event simulcast worldwide, and was simultaneously approached by Microsoft for a site‑specific installation. Edwards has exhibited nationally—including the Seattle Art Fair, Conjoined in LA and CONTEXT Art Miami—and internationally across multiple European countries. He is represented by leading galleries such as CODA Gallery (Palm Desert) and Carol Laroche Gallery (Santa Fe), among others.
He recently completed Dancing Gate at 110 E Roy in Seattle and is advancing seven additional public‑art projects in the greater Seattle area, including three works in Downtown Bellevue, a light‑rail plaza commission for Sound Transit at Mountlake Terrace, and a new piece for the Shoreline Parks Department. Edwards is also the principal photographer for the University of Washington Press award‑winning book Art in Seattle’s Public Spaces. He was recently invited to exhibit in Personal Structures at the 2026 Venice Biennale and in a three‑person show at the Hatfield Marine Science Center.
Since moving to Bend, Edwards has immersed himself in the local creative scene—investing in community‑building and collaboration. He served as staff photographer for the Downtown Bend Business Association; volunteers as staff photographer for Bend Design and TEDxBend; and contributes imagery to Bend Magazine and Bend Lifestyle Magazine. Beyond the arts, he is a founding member of the Deschutes River Woods Fire Squad and co‑chair of the Bend Cultural Tourism Fund. An active member of the Central Oregon Metal Arts Guild, he also exhibits Art in the High Desert and previously with Maker Fair.
